WHO AM I?
I was born in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, in a little city called Melvindale—so small that if you take the freeway, every exit sign reads either Dearborn or Allen Park. Growing up, I had zero natural talent for drawing. Sure, I've improved over the years, but let's just say "illustrator" won’t ever be on my résumé.

As a local artist, I pour my heart into bringing people's ideas and passions to life. No matter where life takes me, design will always be my greatest love. My connection to technology runs deep, and video games have been a driving force behind that passion. Back in the day, if there was an issue stopping me from playing with friends, I’d dive into learning whatever it took—opening ports, fixing connections, you name it—just to make the magic happen.

I’ve been working with digital art tools since my first adventure with Paint Shop Pro, and let me tell you, I’ve come a long way from slapping kaleidoscope effects and bevels onto everything.

It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Jerry Moore. Jerry and I have worked together as student and instructor, as well as his role as assistant with the graphic design program. I can state with confidence that he is highly motivated and responsible with a high degree of integrity. I expect that he will be a very positive addition to your team.
As the Lead of the Graphic Design department I am responsible for the success of the program. Jerry began working part-time as an assistant over seeing the graphics lab and quickly took on additional responsibilities of IT, problem solving in the labs, creating materials for the department, and promoting the program. Jerry not only handled theses tasks effortlessly, he built up quite a following. He inspired many other students through his determination to keep learning and fearlessly pushing the assignments as a student. As assistant, with collaboration of IT, the labs were running 100% for the first time in years. He also took it upon himself to improve whatever he could in this position.
His academic training and abilities were evident, yet he realized that he would need to continue to gain skills beyond graduation. He has set high goals for himself and I do not doubt his success.
Jerry quickly became a trusted member of the graphic design department. Both as inspiring student mentor as well as a trusted assistant.
